  1. From the crash photos, i thought this was going to arosa heaven. fair play good work!
  2. Where does that extra weight come from? Seriously, they are almost exactly the same apart from the obvious panels etc
  3. 946kg lupo kerb weight V's 864kg mk1 arosa kerb weight how is there so much difference????
  4. both poverty spec, no leccy stuff, no subs etc, both got spare wheel, tyre pressures equalish, lupo has just had geometry set up etc! both engines purr perfectly?
  5. basically, my girlfriends mk1 arosa 1.0ltr AER 50bhp seems quicker and more responsive than my 1.0ltr lupo AUC (MPI) 50bhp?? any reason for this?, I would've thought they should be similar in performance, but when i drive hers it feels like a 1.2/1.3 or something. both running 15" wheels and 165/50 tyres confused much!
  6. off work today, so just picked up 2mtrs of lovely grey leatherette, just ordered some trimfix off ebay too, so just got to wait for it to turn up now! gonna start with the back cards first i think, in case i poop it up
  7. do you need one lol!, you can almost touch the back window when your sat in the drivers seat! nice little touch mind, but only if its well hidden i'd say
  8. my old arosa when it was on its custom borbet atiwes, scraped everywhere all the time. 15's fit much better, fill the arches and give some sort of practicality
  9. before going any further, need to answer this question!
  10. hope you have better luck with the cops this time around!
  11. yeah, ebay. service books don't always prove anything has been done anyway, if you have a mate in a garage, they could stamp it all day for you! what you've done is best. get it and give it a good going over etc.
  12. yeah, the girl friend want coilovers and wheels before stereo and stuff, so some ebay units will find their way on to her car. im gonna repaint the blue wheels and put them on her car too. (currently thinking of painting them grey, to match bumper lower halfs and interior)
  13. hmmm, lupo owners tend to not bother with rears, but personal preference really, maybe worth considering buying fronts (and amping them from the h/u), using the 6x9's as rear fill and then fitting the sub, you never get bass out of your speakers really, just mid and treble. but to answer the original question, youd be running the cables wherever is possible through the car, under side trims, carpet etc and then remove the headunit and feed cables up 'behind' the dash from underneath and fish them through the headunit opening to connect.
  14. what size edge speakers have you bought? if they are the size of the fronts, put them in there. no real need for rears in a lupo standard head unit?
  15. what equipment you running up front?, standard h/u or aftermarket, also what front speakers you running?
  16. not sure yet, on a tight budget to be honest, so probably something like this... http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4283.html thinking this one coz i know i can get the box volume specs easily enough from online manual
