  1. And now my new Octavia VRS calipers is painted, renovated and fitted! Test fitted one of them so i knew for sure that they would fit... And here they are fitted! Only brakelines missing, I´ll go for Lupo standard ones. A wheel testfitted for clearance, no problem what so ever : )
  2. I´m already using a master cylinder from a Passat, it´s 22mm and the G60 calipers have 54mm pistons and this has worked really nice. My new calipers also have 54mm pistons so theres no diffrence. I have friend who is using S2 calipers but with redrilled audi 288mm discs and a Passat 22mm master cyl. and this works fine for his Golf mk2 syncro 1,8T. I dont feel like there´s to much pedal travel... Thanks by the way! : )
  3. Yes they do! And yes it would probably be possible to fit the R32 brakes but they are´nt easy to come by... And a bit overkill perhaps : ) I guess they´re a bit much for a Lupo and probably a whole lot heavier too. I´m thinking that 312mm will be more than enough. Another possible fit might be the Ibiza Cupra R 4 pot, 305mm...... Pics of My brakes fitted on the car will be posted soon, my new calipers arrived today. A set of Octavia VRS ones : )
  4. No, you need to drill the discs to fit 4x100, the part in the red square needs to be machined about 5,5mm. Got some things done today too : ) Bumper is back on again, grille too. And the discs are waiting for some new calipers from a TT due to a minor miscalculation.... the Ed35 calipers dont really fit at all. My bad too, should have looked at them and maybe test mounted them first. And the enginebay looks like this!
  5. The TT caliper holders need to be milled down 5,5mm to move out and get over the disc. I have Polo Gti hubs from a -01. You just need to drill 2 holes and it´s done, i then drilled a thousand holes in mine but thats not nessesary : ) The circled part in the picture is the are that needs to be machined. And no, i´m sorry no pics of my gas pedal fitted... Wasn´t so hard to do really, just under and hour with the help of a bracket from a e-gas car, some welding and some cutting...
  6. Heres a pic of the brakes testfitted. 312mm TT/S3 discs that are drilled and modified to fit 4x100mm
  7. Time for an update again! My brakediscs are modified and now waiting for some paint. Intercooler and boostpipes+hoses are in place. I got my new brake lines today, it´ll be standard Golf mk4 for now and maybe braided later on... When the brakes are in place it´s time to get started on the new bootbuild, the subwoffer will stay the same but im doing the other parts a bit different.
  8. And here´s some pictures of todays work. The intakemanifold got some wrinklepaint! And the S3 boostpipe too...now it´s just the projekt of finding a hose for it in some other color than salmon-pink... : ) And the brake parts from Audi TT and Gti mk6 ED35, freshly painted and nice looking.
  9. It´s my brother who does all the programming part, maybe he knows of any forums... And now, a little update! All boostpipes ar manufactured and welded, even did a part in a CNC-machine, the little flange for the map-sensor.. Now its just the fun part left, reassembling all the parts : ) I´m also thinking of painting the intakemanifold in black whrinklepaint... Ithink it could look good. This winters upgrade is´nt all about engine and power, i´m doing the front brakes too. I´ts going to be 312mm drilled discs from Audi TT/S3 and the holders for the calipers from the same car but slightly modified to fit the Polo Gti hubs. The calipers comes from a Golf Gti ED35 -11. Hoses will be same look as Golf mk4 but i think i go for steelbraided hoses. Pads i´m not sure of yet, but for starters it´ll be ferodo SL and then i´ll probably buy a set of Hawk HPS... I think this will do the trick for more braking capacity in the front : ) Pictures are on its way....
  10. Today I fitted my new intercooler. After a couple of hours of cutting plastic and metal, welding and so on it´s now in place. Now theres just some pipes waiting to be made...
  11. Dynoed one with K04 at our local tuner last week and it came out with 301whp and 420nm. He was running Autronic SM4 and E85(ethanol) for fuel. A large intercooler and E85 in the tank will propably get me somewhere around the 300hp mark. And of course the AGN camshafts thats going in.... : ) I must say i do want a GT28rs but that maybe for a little later stage of my winter upgrade.
  12. I think i´ve spent around ~4000£ on this in total including the inspection of makeing it road legal (1000£) And then I have sold of the original 1,4 engine and gearbox for about 1800£ so........ Last winters uppgrade to S3 engine setup took me back almost 1000£ and this winter there will be some uppgrades too. I´m going to change the air/water intercooler setup to a large FMIC and then i´m inserting new 550cc injectors and using E85 for fuel instead of gas. This will hopefully get me to around 300hp and 430nm If it dont i´m going for a bigger turbo and god knows if it will end there.... : )
  13. About the hubs... I use Polo 6n2 gti ones and is a perfect fit as long as you switch sides on the lower balljoints, right goes on the left side and so on.. I use a G60 clutch i mine but with a fidanza alu-flywheel but it´s the same as G60 only a lot lighter. It whey around 2,5kilo.
  14. Thank you : ) Today I got my new amplifier! I went for the same brand as the new sub, Gladen. It´s a 4ch class AB amp and i think it will do some good to my system. Really nice looking and I think it will outperform my 15 year old pioneer Gm6000f : ) For those of you that doesn´t heard of Gladen it´s something i can recomend listening to, even the cheaper series sounds awesome. WWW.GLADEN.DE
  15. I´ve done all my wiring myself, 2 times!! First when converting to the Agu engine that runs motronic 5.2 and the second time I converted my car to the motronic 7.5 from Audi S3 with flybywire, etc. It can be done without too much effort.... Just take your time to read the wiringdiagrams and make up a crosslist, everything you need i pretty much there under the bonnet already... About the driveshafts... No you do not use the mk4 hubs! Just my mistake in bad english : ) You use the Mk4 tdi inner driveflanges so you get 100mm innerjoints. I´ve used driveshafts from an Golf Mk2 16v, the right one is untouched and the left is shortend about 4cm. This has worked on my car and i´m running 260bhp and 380nm so.....
  16. The easiest way isnt always the fun way... I like a challange and the pride you feel when you done it yourself.. : ) The best gearbox to use for this conversion is probably the 02J from Golf Mk4 but with driveshafthubs from Golf Mk4 Tdi (100mm) I myself use an 02J (ENJ-code) with the internals from a Caddy -05 with 0A4-gearbox, this may be the strongest combination you can build of oem-parts. A peloquin or Quaife diffrential doesent make it worse : )

    bike carbs

I dont now if its of any help but heres a pic of my setup when running mikunicarbs. I dont recomend running a a set of RS flatslide cause the car engine has stronger vacum pressure than a bike engine and it causes the flatslide throttles to jam resulting in major over rev..... You can use flatslides but go with Kehin FCR. I welded a simple but nicely working manifold, i still got it laying around but its now converted for running Yamaha R1 throttlebodies. With Mikuni RS36 flatslide (didn´t work well) With Yamaha R1 throttles with Polo Gti injectors, ran rather nice but needed a remap to work really fine. The manifold when used with carbs.
  18. Not much happening to the car but it was on this years probably last meet today. It had good company by a Audi UrQuattro sport -88 : )
  19. Thanks! There´s always some plans for it but it´s my daily driver. I´ve started to see things that needs to be taken care of such as handling, I tought it was really nice till I made the engine uppgrades for this season and now i´m thinking of a extra rear ARB and som adjustable rear shocks and stiffer springs. It´s the small things that makes perfect but i´m getting there slowly. And then it´s the urge for more power, you get used to 250-260Hp far to quick.... Then you just need to upgrade everything once more like bigger brakes and such...
  20. Thank you! : ) If you come to sweden i´ll give you a ride and you´ll like it even more : ) I do.... Seriously, i have absolutly no regrets at all for spending the money to build this car, It came out exactly the way I wanted it to. So now it´s just refining it and taking care of it thats on the schedual. And of course driving it... : )
  21. Heres some fresh pics for you all:
  22. Thanks! The speakerpods are a pair of kids tennisballs dressed in fleececloth and polyester : )
  23. Thanks! I´ve always have more plans... : ) It takes some time to get it worked out bur a few beers help : )
  24. You can try dissconecting the valve for the carbon canister and also the heatelement thats sits in the hose for crankcase vent. They may have shortcircut in them...
  25. Thanks! I´ve done them myself! They consists of some fleece cloth, polyster, a MDF baffle and a pair of old doorcards. Dressed with stretchvinyl. They came out as i wanted them so i´m pleased : )
