Was that you in the VX??
  2. I've had both, and love them equally. The VW is a stronger car, and more reliable (had several problems with the Clio engine - bought the car brand new, and never ragged it without warming the engine first etc etc), but despite that, was a cracking car to drive. Have you driven both?
  3. No way - Jamie's not the sort. Think it had more to do with an ear-bashing from his Mrs about having a stupidly quick car when they've got little ones.
  4. Isn't there a John Peter's sale on at the moment?
  5. There must be something in the water!!! Congratulations from me and K and bump too!!!
  6. Thanks everyone - had been mistaking the baby moving for wind!!! (Probably too much information, but it's made everyone at work laugh!!) Will keep you all posted with updates - our first scan is on Tuesday, so we're all excited about that. Lincolnshirelupogti - you probably saw us the afternoon we'd found out - did we both look as white as sheets? Only last week we'd been talking about selling Kieron's car and buying a Z4 saying "it's now or never" little did we know what lay ahead! We're hoping to keep the Lupo, which should be fine for me and the bubba, but we're looking to change K's car to something a little more family orientated - watch this space!! Thanks again for all your lovely replies.
  7. To say it was a shock is an understatement!! Went to the Dr for a rountine check up and left having been told I was going to be a mum by the end of the year! Heard it's heartbeat too which is soo freaky!!
  8. Found out yesterday that I'm nearly 5 months pregnant and knew nothing about it!! We're in serious shock, but pleased as punch style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Saw on the roundabout near the BBC building heading out of the city...flashed you, but was driving my friend's Clio, so you were probably thinking I was just a mental motorist!!!
  14. Was on my way from Meadowhall to visit my Sis in Crookes - loving the fantastic road surfaces in Sheffield....almost got pulled up for kerb crawling I was driving so slowly to avoid the gigantic potholes that cover 90% of the roads!!!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  15. Sounds like me - was it M5 VMJ?
  16. Not me I'm afraid guys style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  21. We both work for the City Council and are Unison members, so we're on strike tomorrow....just means we get an extra day off cause I'd used all my leave up months ago - planning on re-tiling the bathroom tomorrow!!
  22. Always in Nottingham (have the credit card bills to prove it) so will have a look out for you - normally park in the Victoria Centre. Am actually coming over next weekend for a well deserved shopping spree!!
  23. Especially Amanda Lamb's teeny tiny footsteps between hurdles!! We found it hilarious (after a bottle of wine, mind!!) style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  24. Really sorry to hear that - always sad when we lose them, but as you say, 12.5 years is a really good age. Try to remember the good times rather than focussing on the sadness of losing him.
