  1. I just realised my inbox was full so I have just deleted some messages. Thanks
  2. Hi Rob, been looking at your Ad and could be interested, you have been honest about the cars condition and it clearly would welcome a little love here and there. Looking at your posting history you mention HGF did this turn out to be the case or was it a curve ball from a different fault ?

Let me know as and when, I cannot get to see the car for a week just yet so leave it with you

  3. Price drop before I advertise on Autotrader! I am having to sell the Lupo GTI due to having a baby and needing a car with 5 doors. 4. Morning all My Lupo gti is showing signs of HGF. The water level has dropped and the oil cap is very mayo'y (it has never shown any signs of mayo before). My question is, does the gti have an oil cooler/ laminova? Or is it definitely the head gasket? Cheers
  5. I tried this as a last chance before taking the bumper off and it worked had the ignition turned on and the lights on. Kept on turning it until the motor whirred and then I wound it back up to about level with the other one. Thanks for the help
  6. Perfect. Cheers guys I will let you know how I get on
  7. That sounds a bit more like it, cheers Is there a guide on here, or some pictures of a xenon headlight taken apart?
  8. Ah, ok, thats interesting. When you turn them on you can certainly hear a little motor running on both sides which I assumed was sweeping through the range, as you say like other cars. Could you expand a little on what you mean by adjusting it using the wheels please?
  9. Unfortunately I had a coming together with a small deer one morning a couple of weeks ago. I managed to slow down quite a lot but it still hit just below the drivers side headlight. The bumper has a little damage but not too bad. I lost the cap that goes over the headlight washer jet. The headlight appeared to be undamaged on first inspection. However, since driving in the dark for the first time, I have realised that the auto-leveling has stopped working. When you turn the lights on standing outside the car you can hear the motor whir, but the drivers side light does not rise to the correct level. Could someone explain how these work on the Lupo please? Is the auto-leveling inside the headlight unit itself, and does it sound like I will need a complete replacement unit? Thanks
  10. The rad fan appears to have worn through the protection on one of the wires that runs passed it which caused some smoking. The battery is now disconnected until I can sort it out. I am just wondering if anyone could confirm what the wire is? You can see it in these pictures (I have moved it away from the rad fan now) Cheers for any help
  11. I could be interested in the rear discs and pads. How much just for them if I could arrange someone to pick up?
