does anyone have a picture of, or explain exactly what you need to take off to give the throttle body a clean, ive heard you can do it without having to take it off the car and i want to do it myself rather than pay a garage to do it for me cos the car doesnt idle fantastic and the exhaust gurgles/splutters sometimes HT leads and sparks have been recently done and theres no engine light so im fairly sure its just a dirty tb from reading up on it Cheers, Max

haahah thats rediculous, and i thought my roads were bad, its just loads of hills and sharp downhill corners round here so its always the middle of the car and front bumper you catch

would the speedo surround (the overhanging cover) from a GTI fit a 2002 1.4S (non sport) and how do you remove the plastic surrounds on the dials? (on a 1.4S) because I want to paint them Cheers

im wanting to replace my gaitor and gear knob as theyre looking very tired after a quick search im guessing all i need to do is pull the base of the gaitor up so it unclips/pops out of the handbrake surround trim and then lift it over the gear knob and undo the clip? Then will this allow me to take both gaitor and knob off the stick and replace with the new items? EDIT: Also, will an ebay lupo/polo gaitor do the trick or do i need to be genuine VW? Cheers

fronts are fine rears will poke loads because offset will be et3 (or et8 is you get 15mm adapters)

I'm in love with porsche 928s and have wanted a set for ages but never knew if they would sit right They'd be 16x7 fronts and 16x8 rears both running either et32 (20mm adaps) or et37 (obviously 15mm adapters) Tyres would be 195/45/16 rears and 195/40/16 fronts Would I be able to pull it off and still be lowish (not stupid low cos if I had these on I wouldn't mind ) but more importantly how much arch work? I'm hoping to get away with only rolling the lips cos I don't want to have to flare/pull them approx how much ground clearance if it sat with no/minimal arch gap? Cheers

Got rid of my gimp mask, gone off the debadged look Heres some new pics Laronda and Shontelle tonka and my interior, with black handles, visors c pillers, parcel shelf and light surround creased because i rushed it a bit :S Not much else, getting a new grille, doesnt fit in properly because loads of the clips on mine are nackered from the garage taking it off and putting it on through its 8 years Need to save some money up atm though so no idea whats next, ill update when i get anything be either colour coded bumpers or some interior action
