  1. I just know a few people have done it so want their opinion whether ill need to run spacers or if it fits before I spend out on if
  2. Should sounds very risky!!!!!!
  3. Looking at putting 280mm on the front, know I need G60 carriers but just curious as to whether they'll fit over 15s.. (BBS RM ET33) I know a lot off here have done it so just curious for a quick answer! Thanks
  4. You little cuties. Cheers mate, bit more work to do as want to be sitting arch between tyre & dish next year. Not easy especially with the offside rear beam making that wheel poke a little more which I think all GTi's do am I right? And yeah, I just bought an L shape steel sheet cut it down to size and drilled up 3 small holes into the bumper. Easy enough to take off for shows and stops me getting in trouble around here, even if it is a pretty small plate.. better than nothing.
  5. Red/ink red same thing. It doesn't bother me, it's not what it's all about.. air & bbs are hardly original anyway. I rarely show my car for this reason, I modify my car because I enjoy driving it & I think that's where the 'scene' is going wrong these days. Car looks nice anyway.
  6. Not really much of an update but I'm pretty crap at keeping this up to date at the moment. I've just been happy driving it at the moment especially with the nicer weather, pretty pleased with it at the moment which is a first as always been wanting this or that. We camped at ED38 again this year but unfortunately overslept sunday morning to enter the show & shine pretty glad as we were knackered anyway so parked on the outskirts to slip away. And just got back now from Players, the car got accepted in the hanger which was pretty cool. I normally prefer not showing my car and simply just going to have a laugh & not worrying about competing/cleaning and hanging about but was nice to see it inside & out of the rain. I'm rubbish at writing stuff so here's a few photos from both ED & Players. Edition38 2013 - TwoTwenty. by Ross Mullins, on FlickrED by Ross Mullins, on FlickrED1 by Ross Mullins, on FlickrAnd from Players today. Players. by Ross Mullins, on FlickrPlayers is the last show for me this year and can't wait to get all the changes done and excited to try and get everything done ready for UD over winter. Been saving and planning for over a year so really hope it all works out right. Need to sort a few other things out, wanting to get my fitment spot on and hopefully run arch resting between dish & tyre.. not easy on 15". Plans are to cut and weld up my sump as that's always smashing the floor now too as I wanted air to drive lower than I did, I can't help but to keep pushing it and currently driving tucking tyre, with the front about 1" off the floor.. sump even lower... Not sure how to go, chop arb off, a little more arch work, cut sump, more camber on the rear and sort out fixing the common problem on GTI's of the drivers side rear poking more than the passenger side. Should be fun. But...... SO EXCITED FOR THE MAIN CHANGE. Hopefully my next update will be in a few months just before UD.
  7. Only one of mine leaks, it's the mount rather than the tyre bead though.. hey! I had mine first plus red BBS
  8. Some of the 'garaged show' cars drive back at stupid heights, most of my mates think I'm stupid scraping about knowing I can lift it up, but... I just love the look of it, I've spent time & £ getting it so it can go low with notch, arch work, wheel/tyre spec so may aswell drive it low. I'll try and get a photo of my driving height haha!
  9. Thanks a lot for the kind comments. And thank god for the button haha, unfortunately I do drive it pretty low. Driving with 30PSI in the front bags, and 35 in the rears, driving with dish about half an inch from arch and splitter about half an inch from the floor on the front.. Kind of wanted it so I could drive low and park lower, but with the ease of getting places I previously couldn't and not ruining it scraping over speedbumps. I still want the front down a little more to match the rear, I'm not sure whether to add a bit more negative camber upfront or whether to get rid of the arb.. we'll see. But as anyone with a GTi will know, the beam is not perfect. The drivers side wheels poke 1cm more than that of the passenger side which drives me insane when air'd out. I think the only simple way I can sort this is machining the backs of 2 of the BBS... Here's a few photos from All Dubs and Dub Club meets over the last couple of weeks. / by Ross Mullins, on Flickr/ by Ross Mullins, on Flickr/ by Ross Mullins, on Flickr/ by Ross Mullins, on FlickrI still can't wait to sort the next plan out which I'm keeping hush Should hopefully have the rest of the money saved to have it all done over winter.
  10. Car looked sick at All Dubs, didn't actually realise it was this one until today! I took the 'TwoTwenty' photo too haha, would have posted it in here sooner, looked spot on.
  11. I think it'll be staying the same this year and hopefully have a few changes happening over the winter which I'm really excited for, gives me a little while to save too. Here's a few more photos from our TwoTwenty meet in Worcester. TwoTwenty. by Ross Mullins, on FlickrTwoTwenty. by Ross Mullins, on FlickrTwoTwenty. by Ross Mullins, on Flickr
  12. only if you'll pull my hair and call me naughty names...
  13. Went to inters on the Saturday, didn't take mine but rode up in a mates 1.8t mk2 golf... mm So want to 1.8t mine now haha. The Lupo's were all pretty nice, saw a few off here which was good and the quality of them was top notch, well done guys. And because I didn't go, here's one from a local twotwenty meet from last night. . by Ross Mullins, on Flickr
  14. It depends on offsets massively, and as above they poke a ridiculous amount........
  15. Haha, I wasn't meant to run the old ones With my track record and cleaning them daily...... I think I will take them off! My plan is to find some barrels and make a new set with the old aluminium dishes once I strip and sand those back up just for winter. I think I'd be too scared especially running nankangs and risk either curbing or chipping the paint as ill have to drive through winter on country roads to work! Caring bunch you lot aren't you xox
  16. Yours radinox are they? I didn't think I'd have that problem from what other people said, or at least they won't need sanding like my aluminium! Eek
  17. Thanks mate, same to you! Yours is sitting really well now, they're still 7.5 front & 8 rear on 185/45/15s, however the radinox dishes are slightly thinner than the aluminum as the metal is stronger! I should have bought seating rings but the tiny bit less width helps with them just missing arch! Thanks a lot, haha I did intend to run these through winter that's one reason I went radinox, whether I will or not I'll decide nearer the time! I still have the old dishes & bolts so if I can find some barrels I'll build a new set for winter, but I am interested to see if the radinox hype is true with them just wiping clean!! I haven't tried driving without tyres though like in the promotional video haha!
  18. Looks sick bud, sits pretty well too!! Good job!
  19. Thanks you two! Didn't really grab many photos as it was all last minute, me and dom stayed up into the early mornings building the wheels up and halving the sealant drying times and keeping our fingers crossed. Managed to sort new stubby valves from mike the polisher who sent them next day for me and the tyres went on friday afternoon, took 2 of them 3 hours to get the rears on with everyone sat on them and me closing my eyes and gritting my teeth.. Washed the car and had an hour or so sleep before the dreaded alarm at 2:30am Saturday morning to meet and drive down to Players. Here's a mix of photos that were taken, most on my iPhone or photos taken by others. Players was sick, was over the moon I'd got the car sorted and to a state I was happy to park in show and shine. The quality of cars at the show was immense, but I felt pretty happy to see mine parked up! Oh, and all those late nights made me the most tired person in the world, resulting in the worst sunburn I've had in my life when I fell asleep by the track! Untitled by Ross Mullins, on FlickrHaha!! Oh and here's one more from a local meet sunday night. Untitled by Ross Mullins, on Flickr

    lupo gti remaps

I have a stage 2 CC remap on my GTi, it was rolling roaded at 147.3bhp. Dunno what other maps are abailble
  21. I have no idea actually, I presume so. The dye was really runny unlike paint though, looked pretty cool! Cheers both, I have no idea how the show & shine parking works at Players. Especially with so many cars entered in. You both going? Wheels have had another layer of sealant & all bolts are torqued and new valves from 'the polisher' arrived today too, tyres tomorrow ooOoOooOOoo
  22. Cheers both, I'll be at Players but not on the standards (I hope) I hate them haha! I ran no spacers, they look cool from side photos but silly from the back... Big thanks to Dommmm as we both stayed up till 1am last night & he'd already done an all nighter for uni work the night before, we've got the BBS rebuilt I'm just putting extra coats of sealant on ready for tyres on Friday ready for the drive to players Saturday morn, hopefully they don't leak I'm so happy with them, they were with the painter for about 2 weeks and reacted on the day I was supposed to be collecting them so only got them yesterday afternoon. It's a weird colour, it changes from red, black, bronze & brown depending on the light, but it's a dye rather than a paint.. I think it's sick can't wait to get them on. BBS Paint 2 by Ross Mullins, on Flickr BBS Paint by Ross Mullins, on Flickr I moan about the last minute rush, but I love it really
  23. Trying to order a new set of bolts, can't find the right size anywhere. Lupo GTI as far as I'm aware are M12 x 1.5 with 23.5mm thread length, anyone know where I can grab some or if that's the correct size?

Oh and I'll sort a photo of the numberplate lights out soon I keep forgetting, my bad! ^^^
  25. Nah they didn't, not many places did in honesty! I think I'm sending them off to mike the polisher now as he's the only guy who is willing to try my idea haha! And for the numberplate lights, if they're in a photo it's the previous bulbs which are just 'ice white festoons' from HQ lighting. These new ones are crazy bright with them being entire sealed units, still need to grab a photo of these though.
