  1. Nice choice. I was looking at one too after selling my lupo gti. I looked at everything in this price range including the mk5 gti and the megane. Eventually this won after a hard fought battle! The St would be my second choice and still would like to give one a try. The has been great so far. Weird going into a totally illogical interior after the Lupo which just made sense. That's my only niggle. Am loving the handling and the torque and am thinking of tuning when the warranty runs out.
  2. Hi Nicki, If you need the design as a layered PSD or illustrator file just let me know. I think I sent you jpgs. Do the Tee place have a spec of any sort? If so, send it on to me and I'll send what they require. cheers Dave
  3. Here are a few variations, not sure about the blue, maybe a nice dark grey?
  4. No worries blob, will do!
  5. Alright Sam, it's Dave (biking Dave!), which wheels is it, the steelies with holes in or the spoke ones? Am bored at work, so can do a bit of photoshop work.
  6. Hope not, a low rez jpg will look sh*te on a t shirt when I have the vector file sat here waiting. Also, I think it's only courtesy to be asked before someone uses my design.
  7. errrrr, I designed 15, haven't been asked anything on pm or email??? Also, if some users want a sport version let me know and I'll get illustrating
  8. Lol, loving the melons tee hehe. If you want me to print some up, might be best doing it this way (as I'm pretty fussy abut well fitting tees as I'm a skinny twonk): I might get one printed up at my local t-makers http://www.appliqueapparel.co.uk They're only round the corner from my work in manchester, I think they'll print onto any tee you want, so I might take a H&M one that I know fits and give it a whirl. If you (or anyone else) wants one, maybe you could send me the tee (so you know it fits right), i'll get it printed, send it back to you? Pretty sure it'd be under £20 ish, but i know my friend did a bulk order and it was under £10 each, I'll confirm that on Monday tho... Cheers Dave

  10. Couple of new colours for y'all:
  11. Here's my effort, not sure about the placement (maybe bottom right?) or t colour, I dunno...
  12. Don't mind that roof with the grey at all. The white pearlescent shows off the curves really well though, and the red looks nice too. Hmmm, tough decision!
  13. That's lovely. I still want to see a grey one. Plus I'd have 16s (better handling) and lower it further. Yum! That's my next motor I reckon
  14. Mine only seems to do it below 5 degrees, has been fine the past week or so. Dodgy sensor I suspect.
  15. It didn't feel long geared at all, I doubt I'd miss the 6th cog. The ride was harsh but I'd be going for the 16inchers I reckon, so that wouldn't be a problem. I'm still thinking about it (plus Auto Express has the essesse version in this weeks mag, which gets a good review) and want to go back and ask for another test drive! In one with all the bits working, with 16inch wheels. I'd go for the light grey colour, which I haven't seen yet, with the 'mag' style grey wheels with red leather interior. Like Crusoe said, the dynamics of a car nearly 10 years newer than the lupo can't really be compared. What is good is that the 500 is still relatively lightweight for a modern motor, not much heavier than the gti but feels solid and well built (as far as the door slam test goes), so best of both worlds really.
  16. The 500 yeah... but the Abarth has more... balls!? (for want of a better word). It's a pretty different deal.
  17. Hehe, I know on paper it seems crazy but I had high hopes for the abarth. It's still a great little car and I think I need another test drive. Maybe on my own. I did that with a Mini cooper s, they lent it me for a couple of hours, that's the only way to get a feel for the car.
  18. Was really looking forward to it as if 'feels' like the natural successor to the Loop gti. To be fair it was only a 20minute drive around the outskirts of Manchester but my first impression was that you sit on it rather than in it. The lupo doesn't have the lowest seat in the world either but this was just too high. The ride was pretty shocking, this one had the 17inch wheels on and you could feel every little bump. I don't mind sporty but I think it would get irritating. I don't know if the suspension is softened with the sport button unpressed (I don't think it is). The rev counter/ turbo pressure dial wasn't working, neither was the central locking or radio. I guess these are just early car niggles but it doesn't bode well for that great new car ownership feeling! On the plus side the exhaust sounded great, the engine was nice and torquey from low down (more so than the loop) and it felt fast, so much so that the trade plates were threatening to eject themselves from the front and rear of the car! Oh... and I tried to put into reverse whilst doing 70 - thanks to reverse being where 6th was in my lupo! Oops. So a mixed bag, looks lovely though... still not sure about swapping.
  19. I had this problem, our IT guy told me I had to go into system preferences and remove a file before it would work... I didn't believe it but it worked. Thing is, can't remember what the file was, bugger. If I can get intouch with Steve (IT guy) I will post it on here.
  20. Yup, v true. I is guilty! I don't check these things as often as I should...
  21. errrr, good point! I always thought it was the water gauge... oh dear. So it's def oil then!? If that's the case it's probably warning me the oil's low, as the service light came on a couple of days ago too. hmmm. cheers
  22. Hi, Just a quicky. Does anyone know what I need to do if my water temperature icon starting flashing (behind the rev counter)? It started halfway to work this morning, I don't have the manual with me and have to drive the car home. The temp gauge itself hasn't moved from dead centre, so I don't know whether to be worried or not! I'm going to check the water level tonight when I get home, just to be on the safe side. Any help, greatly appreciated! chaaars Dave
  23. Thought I'd seen it all when it comes to trials riding but this lad in un-ber-leavable! http://vimeo.com/1831788 Try doing that on your sasquatch (joking!)
  24. Hehe, I know, it's hilarious. At 5' 6" I reckon a 15 to a 17 max. As I was saying, if you're think of going for a x-country style bike that you can ride for 2 hours plus no problem, Scott are pretty good value, found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-2008-Scott-Scale...id=p3286.c0.m14
