    my arosa

Frome sunderland eh? mite see you around. Ive got 16's on but i'd choose 14/15" normally. Lowered on coilovers, not many issues.
  5. Well i bet its bronze too? Seen your from north east too, think i seen a bronze one advertised, looks good. Ive got a TDI, Had mine remapped from custom code for £246 quid at the door, they come out in the van. Power is now better but the revs dont run out as quick which is much better. Love mine and ive just renewed my tax which was a JOY haha
  6. Yeh i work for royal mail:) Small world eh!
  7. Ahh that was me I did see you mate, just coming past me as i pulled in!
  8. Progress is NON happino. Remap. Done. Done that that Thats all pic.
  9. pm'd ya back mate, think 40e is the way to go though
  10. Yes mate, it was. Always seem very friendly on the parts section...Think its Pete the one who's dealt with me, canny fella
  11. Well the MAF is fitted and seems to be a lot smoother in power delivery now, always the same...seemed a bit on/off before? Happy with it now, i didnt really mind changing the MAF now i know its got a new one on. Peace of mind for now Picola, depends what you want really, a generic map like mine range from £200 up to £4-500, although you can get custom remaps for the higher end of that price too. Revo near me wanted about £370 ish for a basic re-map....so custom code is spot on for £245. It'll do me
  12. Hope so mate, the fella reckons it'll be better. I dont mind paying the money to fit a new one but it would be nice if it made it better to drive aswell Will be fitting it in the morning, got it for £65 quid all in from seat and he left out the surcharge too :)
  13. Yeh id say the VTS would JUST have it, id have one only for a bit play though then flog it.
  14. So....................................................................... GTI OR TDI OR TPFT LOL
  15. Ive had a VTR and a 106 gti, 106 ended up with sensors all over, abs, window falls out, airbag lights, seats loose as feck, nasty interior too. Me mates had a VTS for about 3 year, couple of driveshafts, airbag lights, 3 abs sensors, dodgy immob, seat SNAPPED, and im not kidding but knocking and creaking ALL the time, forever chasing problems of knocks from the susp but never gets thrashed either. I know he's had loads more problems than that but thats off me head. That said there Fun, nippy, cheap to buy and usually cheap to fix. I loved the 106 gti handling and even the VTR but the 106 went asap cos i didnt trust it one bit. They are what they are, quick cheap fun cars, no quality to them apart from the handling. Try find a 51 plate GTI for the price of a VTS, not gonna happen.... Theres obviously a reason why people pay the money for a Lupo gti over saxo's. There not forced.
  16. Well, its done. First thing to notice is the rev range, pulls past 3k easy and up to 4k smoothly with plenty o boost. Still nice low down kick and more torque. Not HUGE difference but i didnt expect that tbh. Ive done a fair few miles on it already and seems to be getting better with more miles. The lad from custom code did say that over the next few days it will improve as everything has been reset or summit.. Does seem better already than when he first did it. 3rd to 4th gear giving it some beans is massively improved, pulling much stronger. Also first gear is quite noticeable now with longer power range. Very pleased with it but i do need a new MAF as the airflow shown on the laptop was nearly half what it was meant to be at times So thats been ordered today, recieve it tomorrow from SEAT. CC reckons that will make quite a difference too. Gotta say the Fella who done the remap was spot on service wise, ran fault checks before hand then a test drive with the laptop reading all the time to compare with after the map. Put the file on then test drove again and compared airflow/boost etc with before hand, showed the boost holding much longer and stronger. Then finally another check for any faults etc, then he was on his way So i'll it the MAF tomorrow and see if that improves it anymore. gaz BTW Gman, just seen an Arosa TDI in blue like yours, lowered on standard wheels though and big exhaust, sounded suprisingly nice....need an exhaust now
  17. Cheers for that mate, some good info I havnt got a clue when it ends but its a good price IMO. They are coming 12.00pm thursday, so i will report back
  18. Ha ha, think you bought a lemon...Gemmas is spot on touch wood If your gonna floor it constantly though then the mpg is gonna be crap though to be fair Did you get a decent price for it? Last time i heard you were enjoying it
  19. Revo dealer is just diesels in blaydon mate. Also DPM autostyling do thier own remaps but not sure what there like? I thought the price was very good, some less known places charge more than that so hopefully they will do a decent job I'll let you know how it goes....not expecting a great deal but should be better.

    16`s

ive got 16's fitted, on 195/40 tyres, dont go any bigger with the tyres. Stick to 37-40 offset.
  21. Just booked in to Custom Code for a generic remap, they now do them at your door and with the apparent 30% off its £246 all in which is quite a bit cheaper than REVO who i was gonna use as their local. Getting done on thursday 17th Anyone got a remapped Arosa/Lupo done by custom code? Just wondered how it drove? Need to replace the coolant temp sensor too lol
  22. Very nice mate, always fancied a bora Still dont know how you managed 25 mpg outta the swift though , Gemmas gets a constant 35-37 mpg
