Hey guys, this is my thread of my car. My process of doing her up and that sorta jazz! Anyway here's the baby when she came back home next to the civic She a 2002, 1.4 16 Sport R. Done 69k miles when I picked he up. She has an EML for lambda sensor and ABS just came on, but I know what it needs so parts ordered! Gave her a good clean up and here she goes!

Hey club! I've not been on this site since I had my first car years and years ago! So I will give a bit of background! I sold my baby lupo way back after she had a few problems and got myself an Ibiza fr tdi. Beautiful red pre facelift. Ran a few cheeky upgrades to 200bhp then later blew the turbo and got my current car on finance(big mistake :S) civic type r FN2. Due to me getting a new job and being a top lad taking my other half to Disneyland I can't afford my civic so it has to go So I bought myself a wee arosa sport, VERY CHEAP, but it needs a bit of work, lambda sensor, brake caliper pins, boot lock and some body niggles and that's it! It's only done 69k miles! I'll make another thread as I start to bring the wee beastie back up to par!

I would go, but im even further away from Dz1981! Going down the m6 (fastest route) is 8 hours 59 mins :S Should get something sorted for the borders so its a good medium Enough moaning =] Hope you all have a great time and turn all the heads

Heyy guys, as i got slagged for letting a garage try find me a car, i'll try find on here Looking for a lupo or an arosa tdi I Have 2k and my lupo to p/x (but without alloys as these are missus's) Obv have more cash in a months time. Pretty much looking for a clean tidy example, no rust, no faults etc. Colour preference - Black, Grey, Red, Dark Blue, Silver, White Ideally i would like it to have round about 70k miles or less. And as new as possible 2001>>>> can travel to like manchester/newcastle max?

Well theres nothing up near Banff, in Scotland. I would travel hundreds of miles to find a car. But with work I just dont hae the time to travel down england way to find a decent one? Plus im P/Xing my car, and normally people selling a tdi wouldnt want a 1.0? All ive heard is good things about the ARB so i think its a defo when this car comes =]

Heyy guys, have the garage up beside me finding a Lupo or arosa tdi for me! So hopefully in the next month or two will be joining the 'torque' crew! Do the arosa and Lupo tdi have the same problems as the petrol variants? Pedal box etc? My ideal plans are to get the car then carry out the following - Decat Panel filter Lowering Rear anti roll bar Custom remap I've heard alot of turbos blow up once he exhausts been decated as this happened to a friends bora and wondered if these turbos suffered the same? Anything else you think would be good for a tdi?

I have this problem atm mate, seems to be due to a sensor in the engine ( cant remember name for the life of me ) when an engine is cold it needs more fuel to start, like a choke, but the sensors telling the ecu that the engine is warm, so its not getting enough fuel to start, but it eventually will. If you have no warning lights this could be the problem? Though i just replaced the crankcase breather filter and valve which was stopping my lupo from starting =[

Can any one verify that the polo gti engine fits on the same mounts as a 1.0?! Cheers guys! Have a gti rear end write off lined up!!

Sorry for being annoying But I'm on my phone and when I search it comes up with nothing no matter what I put in! Has anyone got a build thread showing like stage by stage? How long will the standard mounts last with extra strain on them?

Heyy guys, Not another 1.8 20v turbo question like everyone else! As Id prefer realistic easier goals! The Lupo and polo gti engine, what's the differences? As in is one better fora conversion and that. Sorry if I sound like a dunce! Do they run off same mounts and gearbox etc?

You can clean your throttle body yourself with throttle body cleaner, but I was ensured carb cleaner works the same! Clean your panel filters too, with an air compressed to get all that nasty stuff out of it! Made mine sit at less rpm on idle! Did you say code goes away its self???

And my tuppence, save for a sport or gti! Just have the 1.0 as a little nippy thing and the money you save buy a bigger engined Lupo! And if you can't afford a gti, or the insurance for one, the sports are really good, and not too bad to insure

My 1.0 actually managed 105! And it wasn't even bouncing off the limiter! Shows what a good service and keeping engine healthy can do I guess Friends road of course tho! I'm not Stupid!

Im sure the part was only like £40-60? although it might not be this? Best take it to a garage and get it plugged and see what codes come up!
