  1. Yeah they do. I think they had their first meet of the year at the start of Feb something tells me? There's a thread on RMS somewhere but i CBA hoking it out lol.
  2. Unlucky Myself from (so good they named it 3 times) East East East Belfast I also know there's a Paula on here with a silver GTI. Im sure she'll pop her head in at some point
  3. Bout ye big gurl from a fellow Norn Iron'r There's no way you're trying to tell me a woman sprayed the inside parts surely?! Thats some job on the cleaning however, i would believe you done that being a woman n all Any other interior plans seeing as the exterior looks pretty clean?!
  4. That is one clean looking wee motor! Well bar the bra, but i hate them Lowered and thats the job done What sort of work was cut out for the aerial then? Just remove the roof lining and undo a bolt and wiring? Did it affect the signal any less or just same oul crappy VAG signal anyway lol?
  5. LOL, i presumed you had PM'd him upon seeing the Sport wheels come off and trying to nab in there, obviously i was wrong
  6. A bearing wouldnt get louder when braking either would it? Thats why i passed on that idea
  7. Well i wouldnt say it for 100%, but id say thats a fairly good likeyhood as you'd only get about 60k on average from a set of rear shoes. Best phone a mechanics in the morning and get some expert advice however lol Oh and try driving off with the handbrake on and see if you get a fair bit of resistance, if slacking a bit then you could be needing to change.
  8. I'll be attending this, although im mainly there to help out on the www.purefinish.co.uk stand Havent been to a show in a brave while and looks to be some quality motors coming to it, so looking forward to it
  9. Do you know if the rear shoes have been changed anytime?
  10. Absolutely stunning motor, real credit there Were the golf seats hard to fit in, or like the mk4's where you just need to do a wee bit of grinding? im sure you can already guess what im gonna ask and i think Koop has already got in there lol, but i'll ask anyway, what are you doing with your Arosa Sport wheels now you've the BBS on?
  11. Cheers madman, that was a bit of a help when looking at first earlier There's a couple of screws behind the wee holder area above the heater controls too for anyone reading this in the future Tried spraying some oil in round the cog at the back of the dial, but its no different, i think the resistance must be up at the vents somewhere as all the cables and cogs seem fine Its only when you turn it from 6 o'clock to 3 o'clock and vice versa is where the problem is, anything else is fine. Must be the front facing vents somewhere?
  12. Good lad, thank you very much! Thats another one to add to the list of weekend jobs lol.
  13. Legend! Been trying to draw up a list of what to do myself seeing as everything will be ripped out. Did you not bother with the track rod end or not really that big a milage on yours?
  14. Actually ive jumped the gun, i see your reply here: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=85224&view=findpost&p=982932 Apologies. When you say the centre console, do you mean where the radio etc is housed :S Or the wee tray bit?
  15. Just wondering if this could be the same problem as to why i would have such a stiff blower direction knob (only seems to be on one quarter of the turn)? The cable could be caught a bit? Is it easy enough to haul out the heater dials or anything i should worry about breaking/catching?
  16. An old photo of mine. The roof chequers will be coming off however and a chmage of wheels in the future
  17. Jeez, remind me never to let your hands near me otherwise god knows what might break off
  18. What happened to the person you had mentioned you had it sold to in your other thread can i ask? Has the car ever been in an accident? Any rust forming round the arches or boot? Electric wndows work? Any bad dents? What about the pedal box? Oh and when is the plate coming off it? Thanks.
  19. Hi, just wondering if the car had the waterpump changed at the same time as the belt? I may be wrong, but is the car an early 01 pre CO2 taxation class or does it fall under the CO2 tax band? What make are the coilovers? How bad/where would this rip in the passenger seat be? I take it you mean the glass part of you fog light is broke? Thanks, Gary
  20. Afternoon all, had a search through a few sections on the forum in a few sections (but to no real avail) about a problem on a possible new motor i have spotted (Arosa TDI), but came up with one problem and was hoping one of the experts on here could help. Basically all the dials work except the fuel gauge. Now if its not a faulty sender unit or a fuse, i have also had things like the control module thrown at me for the potential problem and getting a new dash panel?! Is that a bit extreme or a possibility? Anyone have any clues on if its likely to be simple or new dash time? Cheers, Gary
