  2. been a while since i posted on here but i've just took some photos so i can put it up for sale (need money to go traveling now uni is almost over) rate/slate
  3. my car always starts without any issues at all it was fully serviced inc plugs in the last 2 months and drives perfectly if i start the engine within 15 minutes of stopping while still warm it struggles to start and needs a bit of throttle to get it started and then idles at 1000rpm for the first minute or so of driving if i leave the engine to cool further for up to 30 minutes it then starts with no issues what so ever i have no idea why its doing this but any suggestions would be useful
  4. exactly the same happened to me as said look under the scuttle panel where the wipers are and you'll no doubt find one side if not both are blocked from rotten leaves ect, just break it up and it'll all come pouring out
  5. ah right that sounds more assuring then, would it require much more work/time than a usual cam belt/waterpump change or will i be raped for extra labour?
  6. the nut gun thing means nothing to me but i think i'm gonna just tow it to the garage and start crying on tuesday lol
  7. just to ask is it even possible for the belt to jump that easily with a small ratchet as the only pressure being used?
  8. it turns about 1/5 of a revolution either way then just stops i don't own anything like that just the basic tools, **** i've not started it or anything, every things put back together and just sitting there for now no idea what to do next
  9. ok it finally turned but it was the whole pulley with it while the cam's were locked and made a stange noise and won't fully turn over by hand now ****ting myself and thinking the belt's jumped but not sure if thats even possible or i'm just being paranoid?
  10. i've tried to lock the crank with drill/screwdriver and no luck, done the same in the cams and it seems to be holding just getting the pressure to undo the crank nut
  11. trying to get it off now and can't find anywhere to try stop it with the screwdriver would it work locking the cams and then trying to take off the crank nut or could that damage something in the process?
  12. how did you lock the pulley to get the bolt off without just turning over the engine i had this problem
  13. went to replace my cam belt/water pump and couldn't take off the pulley without it spinning are there any methods people have used to get it off?
  14. going to change the cam belt/water pump and give it an oil change while i'm at it where would people suggest to buy a decent kit that is going to be reliable and preferably under the £130 price at eurocarparts for a continental kit theres lots of them on ebay but i don't know which brands are reliable as i don't want to put on a cheap kit
