  1. Today i managed to get hold of a secong hand box from a braker for £100 so im just taking the fifth gear from that box an putting it on mine. Saves me swapping boxes as fifth gear is right on the end of the box under the black steel cover. Ill put some pics up once iv finished the job so you can see the damage. Cheers for the advise though guys
  2. Hi mate, do you still have the gearbox and if so would you be willing to just sell the 5th gear?
  3. Cheers for the ideas guy's, iv found the fault now and its the fifth gear selector on the output shaft and its missing about 10 teeth when it should have 37. iv now remover 5th gear completely so am now running a 4 speed box ....priced up the parts with vw and for 5th gear selector, 5th gear, a bearing, bolt and circlip it comes to £362 So i am now on the look out for just a few parts, dont really want to buy a complete gearbox would rather just buy these parts individully. Any one know of any gearboxes being split?
  4. Hi guys, i also have a air bag light on due to having a racing wheel fitted. Anybody know what resister is needed to knock off the light? Cheers , Rhys
  5. Hi guys, got a 1.4 lupo and the last few days iv noticed its starting to make a chattering noise in 5th gear when i release the throttle. It only seems to do it in 5th and allways when shutting off the power and rolling along. When i apply the clutch as the noise is occuring the noise goes. I applyed preesure to the gearstick by pulling back towards the neutal position just to see if the gear is trying to pull out but it is holding the gear securely. I did search the forum for any simular problems, found 1 but the problem was not solved so just wondering if anyone has come accross this before or could point me in the right direction Thanks Rhys

    HID Kit

Yes it does come with a wiring diagram but its not very clear at all. I understand you need battery power and an earth but the earth and power cable run along side each other and into a block connector. is there a connector on the car i need to use or is it gonna be a case of taking the connector off and just earthing and getting power down them?

    HID Kit

Hey, just got my H.I.D. kit today and need a little help with the wiring. Theres a connector which says its supposed to connect to a relay? what relay? And theres another wire which is ment for battery power but it has a connector plug on it? The car is a 1.4s(dont no if there will be a diffrence) Any help will be appretiated. Rhys
  10. Hi mate, i have a throttle body that i bought for my car but it was the wrong one. It came off a 99-2000 1.4s and its electronic controlled (just a plug connector to it) The one i need is a cable operated throttle and the plug. If your interested pm me. Rhys
  11. Hi mate, my car windows seem to like not working every now and again, mainly the passenger side and as you said you can hear the solenoid clicking, somtimes you can get away with just unplugging the wiring loom from the motor but if that doesnt work then i just take the whole lot out of the door, strip the motor and reassemble it and it just works when you plug it back in:D think its just disturbes sumthing inside. This may also solve your 3/4 open window problem as the motors have a learning system on them and they know where top and bottem is, so if you get them working just put them all the way down and up without stopping inbetween and it should pick up on where top and bottom is. Hope this is of any help Rhys
