  1. 0-60 is around 8 on a standard car I think!! He could have missed a gear or anything!! You can't really take much from a drag strip run!
  2. If the rear bumper doesn't meet the rear quarters properly I would be very wary!!
  3. Ive had mine for about a year and have never washed it!! I cant imagine why you would need to wash a drying towel? I put mine over a rad to dry after I have used it!! I imagine I am going to gt flamed for this but the paintwork on my car is more or less spotless and swirl mark free!!
  4. Cheers pete thanks mate!! Im awaiting delivery of some grey trim to go around the front grill. Im just hoping that it will match the wheels!
  5. I have never understood sticker bombing! Even when it was 'cool'!!
  6. I bought a roll 1520mm x 5000mm and used about 1800mm!
  7. Thanks for the feedback folks!! From a distance it looks like matte black then when you get closer it looks awesome!!
  8. Thats a fair shout!! Very pricey though!! My have to speak to lupoboz and see what price he can get them for!!
  9. for once!!! Im hoping for some sort of summer this year!!
  10. Bought this car from a friend (who is also a member on here) about 2 months ago! It was already lowered on KW v1's and had a full Kam racing exhaust system (decat) on it . It also has a BMC induction kit fitted. Since I took ownership of it I have added:- Porsche tele dials (powdercoated gloss grey) with black porsche centre caps stretched tyres Tinted headlights Matt black Gti badge on the front Carbon vinyl roof wrap To come:- Wider adapters to give he back wheels a bit of poke Remove suspension adjusters from rear strip out rear seats get something nice and bucket-ish for the front DSC_4167 by shaunyshaun1234, on Flickr

  12. I'd be very surpirsed if one from vw is less than £400
  13. Thanks guys!! Gonna clean her up today and get some decent pics of it!
  14. Well......it's done!! It was pretty easy if I'm honest! Material was £20 and it took about 40 mins to do!! Will upload a pic if anyone is interested!!
  15. No harm in having a go!! Like I say, the vinyl was purchased at a good price so its no great loss to be honest!! I have been quoted £80 for a matte black wrap by a friend which I thought was fairly steep but we'll see!
  16. I was thinking about going matte black. I have purchased the vinyl and its the matte textured type. Im certainly not trying to fool people into thinking its a cf roof! Just want a different look on the roof!! For the price of the vinyl and a couple of hours fiting it, its no big deal if I rip it off after a week!!
  17. What are peoples thoughts on carbon roof wraps? Im thinking about having one done on my black gti. I understand its my car and to do what I want. I just wondered what the general opinion is on these!
  18. Very pokey at the back and horrendous upfront I would imagine!!
  19. I'm running 15mm spacers up front and 20 at the back!! In actually after some wider ones for the back to make them sit flush! You will run them easy!!
  20. Would it be safe to use a hub adapter (5X130) and then a small (perhaps 8-9mm) spacer on top of that? So bolt the adapter to the hub then add a spacer and then fit the wheel? I know I should have purchased thicker adapters but was unsure of the thickness and it seems like a long winded thing to sell the current adapter, purchase new ones (and add money on top after seeling current adapters second hand)!! The fact that I'm even asking on here makes me think its a bit of a no go! So let me know your thoughts!!
  21. 20mm on back and 15 on front! More issues today! I had trimmed down the front bolts to fit but for stupid reason not the back! Driving along an touched the brakes and a piece of one if the rear discs has sheared off. Te casting has broke! So two new rear discs for me!!
  22. I tried the old wheels with old bolts on afterwards and they were ok!! I'm confused!!
  23. Hi, Fitted some teledials to my gti today using fk adapters! When driving the car there is a deep rumbling noise coming from the front left wheel. The brakes also squeak when being used (never used to happen). After driving about 10 miles, the rumbling turned into knocking! I checked all the wheels and the from left was physically loose! Jacked it up, took wheel off and the Allen bolts holding the adapter to the hub were very loose. Tightened these up, re fitted the wheel and the rumbling is still there! I have left It parked on the drive now but can anyone helps as to what's going on? Thanks
  24. Legends!!! Thanks very much!! If I pipe in a catch tank wont I still need this fitting to put it back to the throttle body? Vw had the breather going straight to the throttle body anyway!!
