  1. just popped mine up for sale in the classifieds but if your interested, raven blue (best colour and rare to!) i wouldnt be too bothered about mileage so long as it has been well serviced and cambelt done at around 60k, buy on condition over mileage, as mine has 116k on it but it runs smoother and pulls harder than my mates which is on 82k. common faults, door check strap, rear top led brake light not working (corroded connection), windows like you say (one of mine is tempremental), engine wise they are pretty solid cars though i would always buy a 5 speed over a 6 speed because of the inherant gearbox problems that the 6 speed dosent suffer from, it will also be better when you come to sell the car as people avoid 5 speeds generally, i think the changeover is around 2001 (not 100% tho) Hope that helps a little mate, and take a look at my ad in the classifieds if your interested they are the funnest little cars out there, enjoy whatever you get
  2. Hi lads, sadly due to money troubles not involving the car, i am going to have to sell her so if you know anyone looking for one, point them my way 07917441146
  3. I was suprised they were polarised tbh

  7. hi lads, as you may know ive had my gti a few weeks now and the engine is completely standard, i was planning on fitting a bmc induction kit, but reading around i have noticed a few people just fitting a panel filter and a decent cold air feed, what would you guys suggest is better? http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=50597 also in this topic they mention blanking off the hot air feed pipe, how would i go about doing this? lastly im also planning on fitting an oil catch tank at the same time, is there a how to on here? or can anyone give me a basic outline of what is involved, and ill take some snaps and get a how to up when i do it? cheers Jayy
  8. I dont have loads planned at the moment to be fair, shes already in weitec coilovers, so im going to sort out a few little niggly bits, rear bootlid led brake light, and a few other things, then im going to look into arb's and potentially new seats and a few little oem+ mods to the interior, and then engine mods, but its expensive to get much power out of these isnt it? Jay
  9. Cheers mate! Im more than happy with her!
  10. What coilovers you used mate, im only on budgets but they suprised me once set up correctly? Nice bimmer btw!
