Lupo rubber fuel petrol strap?
CLAYTONJONES replied to audiocandy's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
I'm pretty sure the don't sell the strap on its own, you will probably have to buy a new petrol cap. -
Just a little update, finally sorted out my door check straps. Easy fix and the best thing i have done so far! Also i was changing a number plate bulb a week ago and broke a clip on the unit so decided to get some LED units, much better than your usual LED bulb, so bright!

Noisy Check Strap Repair - Better that new?

Can anyone help? I have bought the bushes recommended off amazon. Now i am trying to remove the old bushes, how the hell do you get them out? Thanks -
The bulb that is in there is a clear one, so i am assuming you put an orange one in there after de-tangoing
-
I am not 100% on how to do it but i think most people smash the orange lens then get a small hoover attachment in the hole to remove all the little bits.
-
From the angle the picture has been taken at it is hard to see but in the grey strip in the middle there is an orange lens
-
I am running 195/45 too, maybe i could get away with it
-
Cheers I was going to de-tango these before fitting but couldn't wait to get them on haha. I will do it one day. Thanks for the tip i will keep that in mind! I'm not sure what i could get away with on the front, i would like 10mm but think it would rub? :/
-
So got home from VW and gave the Lupo a clean then fitted the Cambridge rears. Much better with them on!
-
Picked these up from VW today
-
You get it on ebay mate, easy to do
-
Save a bit more and get AP coilovers.
-
Nice bit of beading this morning
-
I have 195/45 and the only time it will rub is if someone is in the back, which is never so i'm alright. But if you was to leave the rear adjusters in it would never rub and it still looks nice. Cheers pal, its getting there
-
Yeah the fronts could go down loads more, if the rear was any lower it would rub with 17mm spacers anyway. T Thats why i went for them, buy cheap buy twice is what i say
-
Yeah thats right, AP's dont go down enough on the rear for me with adjusters in. I would save a bit more and get the AP's, you won't regret it mate
-
Cheers mate, i love the bathursts! I have AP coilovers with the rear adjusters out. Awesome coilovers highly recommend them.

Got some Cambridge rear lights on the way, £92 from volkswagen
-
Erm i am not too sure but i have only ever heard good things about EBC thats why i went for them.
-
I have just replaced my discs and pads all round, I went for EBC oem quality and highly recommend them. I paid £130ish for the whole lot. If you decide to go for these let me know and i will tell you where i got them from and i have a discount code.

Thanks Yes i am, 17mm on the rear and none on the front. I do need to get some for the front but a bit unsure which size.

Gave the lupo its winter protection yesterday, spent 7.5 hours prepping and applying collinite 476s.
