You'd do well to find one as nice as my wife's car. 89K for 9 years is less than 10K miles per year.

Serviced every 10 k without fail and motorway miles in 6 gear as only used for her commute to work.

Custom stainless exhaust Cat back to original rear box(70K). New rear shocks(75K), Car is standard bar the upgraded wiper on the rear.

All brakes done at last full service 75K. 85K synta gold oil change.

I am tempted to store it away if it does not sell and bring it out in 5 years time when the price will have risen IMO.

I can give you the full service history from new and all parts changed.

Funny you say there are no nice cars for sale? This one certainly is.

Thanks guys. Chfs didn't mean there were no nice cars around it's just I'm after a lower miler pref 50-60k I'm planning on keeping it you see for a while and want to get as low mileage as possible in my budget. Your wife's car sounds nice though. Saw a mint black one on here that sold with 33k on it last week I would have loved that. Not sure about red what do you think. I've had loads of red cars and there always a monkey to colour match if it ever needs to be done. Cardiff a bit far from Yorkshire but maybe a possibility. I do love blue and anthrax or whatever the grey is.

Not selling mine, but it's a '54 plate (Dec 04) with 57k, full service history from dealer and VW Specialist (VW Master Tech), cloth interior, no aircon. It's had some paint done to repair common faults at a VW dealer; and I would probably put it up for £5.5k

3rd owner, I've had it since early 2007 and 26,000 miles.

Thanks silver so I need to think a little higher in value what these are worth. Let's try this

40k

50k

60k

70k

If you guys could write next to each one in very good condition what you think they would be worth, I would really appreciate it. Ill star things off

40k 6,000

50k 5,200

60k 4,500

70k 3,800

Thanks so much in advance really helps me to gauge the current market. P.s think I have OCD lol

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2004-tornado-red-lupo-gti-low-mileage/1034242901#photo-content What about this? Does it matter it doesn't have the last two stamps? Anyone know anything about this car? Cheers kev

Last 2 stamp shouldn't mean too much, just get it in and get it serviced and possibly a cambelt change for peice of mind.

Needs tow eye and bumber mount covers for the front (probalbly about £80 at a dealer or less elsewhere.); start by knocking him down 10%- 15% see how it goes.

He's said 4750 think it's a bit steep really but will wait out I think till something else pops up he is a dealer after all

I think that's a pretty good price from a dealer. You could try for £4,700, but it depends how much you want it. Leave him your number and if it's still there in a week he'll probably call back with movement on the price. You take the risk of someone else sneaking in though; and for what £50?

Not as far as some either.

Looks like a nice example in the best colour. Set of KW V1 coilovers set at a decent height (ie not too low)and you'll be perfect.

You could try getting an engine cover from VW, but I think it will be quite expensive for what it is.

Put a wanted ad up in the classifieds, as people are removing them to fit BMCs etc all the time, but the crack won't cause any issues. So you have time to find one.

I've had mine coming up 7 years; still puts a smile on my face.

Oh and about 17mm spacers on the rear help too; 20mm rubs (just) on Bathursts with 195\45 tyres.

Thanks silver for your advice. Put a deposit down picking it up next week. Yeah coil overs could be nice I'll keep my eye out for an engine cover. Can't wait to pick it up. Cheers kev

Hey Kevin, did you end up buying the silver GTi ? How are you getting on with it ?
