16valver83 Posted April 29, 2013 Report Share Posted April 29, 2013 hi guys im converting my 1.0 mpi arosa to a 1.4 16v engine out of a polo 6n. i need a gearbox but having trouble sourcing a box from a 1.4 16v thats local. first question is can i use the standard 1.0 gearbox? if i can will the gear ratios be ridiculous? any info appreciated, cheers! Skezza Posted April 29, 2013 Report Share Posted April 29, 2013 Well, I don't know if you can use the 1.0 MPI gearbox on the 1.4, but I know of a few people who put the 1.4 gearbox in a 1.0 MPI, so maybe it's both ways?
