crossovers? sub?

Recommended Posts

You need at least 1 pre out. This looks like a normal rca input. (white and red)

You then wire up an amp. Monoblock if you're simply doing a sub. Or 4 channel if you want to do the 6x9s and the sub. Its hard to explain over the internet. You'd be better researching it yourself, few youtube vids. or going into a car audio shop and asking advice.

Usually you need a video or someone to actually show you, it's hard to do it all just from reading something on a forum.

Crossovers usually send certain frequencies to certain speakers well when wired correctly. E.g. You have a tweet and a mid woofer. If you send 100hz to the tweeter it will damage it and sound naff. So the crossover splits the frequencies high to high and low to low. This is a super super simple way of describing it.

Then you get into crossover slopes with octaves and passive or active crossovers 2/3/4 way etc.
