GerryDewar
What would be involved putting a 1.6 gti engine into a 1.0E lupo? Is it possible and worth doing? Thanks Edited February 25, 2013 by GerryDewar
Lupokid1
Unless everything else about the car is perfect , I would say its not worth it. It would be worth putting an engine in a lupo that isnt standard like a 1.8 though. You may as well just buy a GTI if you want the speed. GerryDewar
I thought it would be since the engines are cheap to buy
Lupokid1
Would be cheap but not much point as it wouldnt be anything special. Like I said , a 1.8 would be something special
GerryDewar
Not really going for anything crazy just want a little but more power that won't cost too much and that's why I thought the gti engine swap would be a good idea, just checking how hard it is
lupo1.0se
Some people have done the 1.6 gti conversion. I have seen this done in a couple of cars.
