Ralfy1211
HiJust bought a lupo tdi! The bora died spectacularly! I've got some wheels sorted and have just ordered some coilovers! How low can I go before I need any adjustable links etc!?
Koop
How big are the wheels? Generally you can get nuff low without needing a chassis notch unless you're on 13s, cos 13s need mega lows to look good.
Ralfy1211
There 15s just wondering about inside wear on the tyres? I know on the bora anything over a 40mm drop you needed adjustable drop links! So I should be ok dropping 40/50mm?
Koop
40-50mm should be fine on 195/45/15s or smaller. I take it you're talking lowering springs? Any more than that you'll want shortened shocks as standard shocks might pop. Edited February 14, 2013 by Koop
Ralfy1211
Coilovers all the way this time! Not faffing around with springs only!

How low can I go before I need any adjustable links etc!?Sorry, I really need to wake the **** up No adjustable links required, the only thing is a chassis notch for mega lows, but you won't need it at a 50mm drop. Just watch for the front wheels catching on the coilies as they'll naturally camber in when you drop it, pull the hub out at the top when you fit them for some pikey camber adjustment.
