stewwy_94
Would a 1.4 s arosa engine fit straight into a 1ltr s arosa?
VolkswagenDan
Yeah only requires a 10mm spanner and some silicon.
VolkswagenDan
Na, joking aside... Seeing as they came from the same car virtually, it'd be safe to assume that you could use everything from that car as a donor for the swap
stewwy_94
I've heard before u can just take it out and put it in with no problems
TArosa
yeah, all the sensors, mountings and piping is exactly the same..... and like dan said " 10mm spanner & some silicone" although i've heard magic putty works better. It doesn't work like that, the engines are designed to go into the same body within reason but it doesn't mean everything plugs in. if you search there are a million threads on here for engine swaps. Alex-Bone94
Or just buy a 1.4? Save the headache unless your dropping something bigger and better, which would be worth it
VolkswagenDan
Or just buy a 1.4? Save the headache unless your dropping something bigger and better, which would be worth it This guy hit the nail on the head. Providing you have all necessary bits though it'll be fine. My point is its much easier than trying to stick a vr6 lump in it, or something...
stewwy_94
I might just get the 1.4 and do everything to it
TArosa
you have to come to the fact that a 1.0 is a 1.0 and without masses of work and a few grand its not going to be fast; and spending that money on it your going to loose the thing a 1.0 is designed for (economy). also look at it this way; if you spend the same kind of money on a bigger engine its going to go a lot further.
