SamEdwardSwain1
Himy lupo is a 2000 1.0 E MPI (ALD engine code)had my lupo on the road for just under a month nowtook rocker cover off to see how hard it was to replacetappets (could hear it was very tapity)but found thatthe cam, cylinder head and rocker cover are heavily worn.So due to the fact it has oil pump problems and is downOn compression I'm getting a replacement engine. How hard is it to swap the engines and what is the bestway to go about it I do have access to a two post rampand tools to do jobmost likely going to an AUC 1.0 MPI engine will this stillrun on my ECU ? RS6plusMTM
The post lift will make the job very easy, you'll still need a engine lift or hoist to remove the engine once you've detached everything.I did and engine swap (with just axel stands and the use of a forlift to pull the engine) with no experience or even a manual. Just took plenty of photos to make sure I knew how it all went back together
