Not much has happened in a while but FINALLY its going in to the bodyshop to get the bonnet and boot resprayed, and also getting the slots sand-blasted then mirror polished! so some shiny rimmage on it's way! Will post up before and after shots when the car gets returned in all of its reflective glory. Also getting quotes for some custom base plates to fit my new mirrors. Things are moving forward :)

So unfortunately the p slots were too badly corroded to be polished, so a silver finish will have to do. Thinking of selling these on so that I can get the Smoor's refurbished and some rubber for the fronts ordered. But none the less they are looking good! might paint the P's and centers black though.

I'll get some pics of the whole car up after a good wash, looking a little dirty after its wee trip to St Andrews.

Haven't had a good update in ages so here goes...

Have been mostly repairing and replacing broken or missing parts on the lupo such as sun visor clips, seat pulls etc

Also have sprayed the grab handles matt black to match the black interior...

And sprayed the binicle gloss black, still to do the T part of the dash gloss too. The side vents have already been sprayed gloss black.

Also managed to spray those hideous purple mirrors VW Black to match the car, looks so much better.

And since the sun was shining today I gave it a quick wash outside and under the bonnet.

Still needing lots small wee things done to get it in full working order such as the wee clips that hold on the upper part of the front bumper that holds the grill (if anyone knows a part number or where to get them the info would be much appreciated) also the heater relay as fans only work on no.4, and new indicators as the previous owner did a gash job and taking them apart to spray the inside so they are cracked and corroded, same with the headlights. Also have the smoors in line for a full refurb so they should be replacing the P Slots at some point.

So a couple of little packages came trough the door today so a little tidying up went underway.

Had my new wheel nuts come in as I had lost the locking wheel nut remover so two had to be chopped of :(

Also my new wheel nut covers as the wheel nuts I have are pretty horrible looking, a little easy aesthetically pleasing mod :)

Wheel nut covers:

After:

Much tidier, still unhappy with the massive tractor tire's and huge amounts of tuck, but going to wait until I actually need new tires and buy some higher quality, low profiles ones along with some adapters to make the wheels fill the arches better. That's all for now, still on the hunt for lots more bits and pieces, next up should be under dash drinks tray, strut brace, and much more depending if I can find the parts.

Thanks for looking

Hey Danyutz, These are just covers for the wheel nuts and just fit right on top of your existing ones, they will only fit over wheel nuts with 17mm bolts. 17mm being the majority size for most makes and models. You can get a set from eBay. Hope that helps, just check which size your bolts are.
