* Fitted some new hubcaps as i cant afford the alloys yet... and think they look better than the stock ones.... half price from halfords.. think they were £15 for the set.

*stumpy aerial her too.. (not fitted in this pic)

* also bought a pair of l.e.d side light bulbs (501 Led bulbs) into ebay... fitted those this afternoon... they look very good... nice and crisp white light... will get some pics up later in the dark.

going to be buying the lowering springs in the next few weeks... so if anyone can recommend a decent set for about £100 or less.... that would be fab

Have given it a good clean and tidy up, the paint was in pretty good nick.... but with a good polish and wax its coming up well.

considering colour coding the front and rear black bits... but still in two minds about that one...... i

if the weather is decent tommrrow i will fit the cd player into her too.. the wind is doing my head in..

things are going well :)

Tbh mate, the standard hub caps are a big win!! Get them back on imo. But great start, also i think you might struggle to find any decent springs for £100 or less. but good luck anyway :)

what springs would you say to go for ?

rule number one. Dont get springs, Get coilovers.

^ question answered :P

if your not looking to spend a lot of money, then go for either JOM Blueline or TA Technix coilovers, Crap ride but cheap. Dont bother goin for FK's unless there the highsport (i think the name is) because they always break (apparently)

Im on AP Coilovers and ive got to say, the ride comfort is brilliant, espacially as there £400 - £450 new, and i only paid £150 plus my crappy suspension lol.

But yea, i would say TA's if your not wanting to spend a lot of money, and your not too bothered about bone shattering ride :)

Looks good dude :)

Next you should de-tango the indicators. I'm doin exactly that and ordered some Chrome indicator bulbs from eBay. There only a couple of quid so a nice little mod :)

De Tangoed... the indecators tonight... with the silver bulbs from ebay.... £3.60 for the pair inc postage....

nice and easy mod to do.. on the 1.4s 16v.... just pop the bonnet... look behind the indy bulb and twist the white grip ... and the bulb will pop out in its casing..

my led bulbs that i put in last week.... well i knew they were cheap..... and a little too bight to be honest... and after less than 100 miles.... they have started to turn blue....lol

so i went and bought another set from a local firm tonight.... alot smaller than the ones fitted last week.... but nice and bright white point.... in the bulb casing now... rather than a glow and a dazzling light at the bottom ..

Think these look better being more of a ponted 4 bulb style led bulb..... so we will see how we get on with these this time...

again... easy to fit... take the black plastic casing off under the bonnet.... you will see two wires going to the back of the bulb and a small fitting to the bulb... this just pulls out... no need to twist... just a good pull.... and same to put it back in.... light push.... and it clicks in.... if you get led's and u find one or both are not working.... try turning the bulb round..... they will only work one way :)

thanks for the comments so far :)
