MrDerek Posted December 30, 2011 Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 Had a search around and couldn't find anything.My clutch on the 1.0e started making a grinding noise when I push it down while the car is moving. It's not as loud as grinding the gears, but noticeable. Any ideas what it could be? Will it last the weekend? or If I could get someone to look at it tomorrow, could it be an easy fix?I need the car this weekend and don't really want to bring out the gti. It won't get any quieter and would eventually seize, so you'll have to attend to it sooner rather than later. Most people get the whole clutch changed while they're at it because the gearbox has to come out anyway and you know after that you shouldn't have to have it all out again for a long while.
