has anyone covered the centre dash section in 3m carbon?

was thinking of doing this as my centre section has gotten dull and needs a reapint, but thinking of covering it with the 3m carbon as i quite like th efinish but unsure if the whole centre section would look a bit tacky,

asking if anyone has done this to see what it looks like before i spend about thirty quid on vinyl that could end up looking shiat

I've covered parts of my interior in 3m Carbon vinyl, the window switches, grab handles, heater control cluster, etc. I was thinking about doing the whole dash, but wasn't sure if it would look tacky, plus, couldn't be bothered stripping it out! :lol:
