garethlloyd Posted February 10, 2011 Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 Hi guys,Could do with some help or pointers here.I've owned the car for a week now and just noticed that when you stick the key in the ignition and turn it to position 3 (but don't crank it over) so the warning lights come on. The airbag light and the oil light don't come on. (it's a gti) Like all modern cars the manual says they should come on and go out again 15 seconds later. Unfortunately there is no sign of life.Here is a picture of what does light up (apologies for the quality!)Any ideas what this could be. garethlloyd Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 i've heard this VAGCOM word a lot, did a search on it last night but still a bit vague as to what I need to buy.Am I right in thinking its diagnostics software?Looked on ebay and they seem to range from £8 to £500! I assume the £8 ones are rubbish. What's the minimuim I need to spend to get one that will do what I need it to?Oh, and thanks for the prompt reply!
