forsh21
Just driving to my girlfriends and the EPC light came on the only thing I have done today is fit a new spoiler brake light and had the vent out on the drivers side and drove to my gf's with the light switch disconnected the one which sits in the vent to turn the lights on
treblet
It's possibly the rear brake light that's set it off but it could be one of a few thousand things, you'll never know unless you get the car on VAG-Com.
forsh21
Well the spoiler light hasn't worked for over 3 years lol
scotty_82
Its true that a lot of people have had loads of weird faults come up from a much simpler fault, as soon as thats fixed the faults can be removed.
forsh21
If the EPC light came on because i fitted a new brake light should it clear its self of the fault?
treblet
No probably not, usually once the light is on it'll stay on until the fault codes are cleared. The fault may not be there anymore but the fault code will keep the light on.
