chris27 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) Posted in another section but not had much response!I have a gti and the airbag light has been on since i owned it. After removing the airbag it appears that the loom is damaged. A thin copper wire going to the airbag connection isnt attached to anything (pics below). Is it possible to get a new loom and does anyone have any ideas on price? Thanks! Edit: I dont mind repairing it as I can get a new yellow plug connection at work. 99hjhm Posted September 21, 2010 Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 Not again.That wire used to be coiled up inside the yellow plug, it's basically ****ed, you need a new slip ring, there was a recent topic on slip rings, one from a Mk3 Golf I think fits, if it's the correct one.
