to buy or not to buy

hayyy guys n gals, just a quick one

im looking at buying my first lupo, like tomoz or summat.

iv been looking at one thats blue, on a 1999 plate, has done 80,000 miles and is on at £1000 fully standard

just woundering if u guys could offer any advice on if you think i should go a head and buy and if there are common faults that i should look out for.

quick reply's would be appreciated as ill be buying verry soon :D

Just give it a good check and look over and check the service history as you would for any used car. At this age it's very likely to be a partial service history unless it's been owned by soemone meticulous.

Make sure the wear on the seats, carpets, pedals and steering wheel reflects the mileage. Ensure the gears engage OK, the clutch bite feels correct and the stearing doesn't feel too loose or tight. Ask questions especially about oil usage, but that is only any good if the seller is an honest guy.

There aren't that many faults on a lupo which are different to any other car.

If in doubt take someone who knows what they are looking for.
