ArosaPD Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 Hi everyone, just wandered if anyone had any info on doing a cambelt change on the 1.4 tdi. Not really had many dealings with diesels in the past and wondered if it was a job for the DIY merchant. i.e do you need any specialist tools, or need to know any specific torque settings, etc, etc? The motor is going to Allard's in the New Year for an upgrade and I want to do the cambelt as a matter of course.I do all my own maintenance but feel a little lost on these diesels especially with no technical information to refer to, (i.e. Haynes Manuals, etc).I would be incredibly grateful for any info on this matter.
