Service?

I've had my Seat Arosa 1.7SDi for just over a year, and it is coming up to it's 72500 mile service and I was wondering if it's worth doing?

Would it be beneficial for it to be serviced and if so does anyone know roughly how much it would cost including parts etc?

I live in Bexhill and there’s a Seat garage in St Leonards. Or would anyone advise going somewhere else due to being cheaper but at the same level of service?

Many Thanks

Always worth keeping your car serviced. If you have the aptitude do it yourself (with a helping hand if need be) or find a local VAG Specialist who will likely be VW trained, but charge half the dealers hourly rate, whilst using VAG approved or OEM parts.

Thanks for the reply's, I'll look into GMS Kent =]

I've previously (about 2 months ago) changed the oil and oil filer, and was wondering would they still do all the service? Or could it be possible that they exclude the things I've done and do the rest?

Another thing, when does the timing belt / cam belt need doing? is that an extra? or will it be done as well?

Sorry for my poor knowledge

Many Thanks

cam belt is normally around 60,000 miles, so should have already been done, check history if you have any.

It is a seperat job to the service, and quite an expensive one at a main dealer. I got mine changed by a local mechanic i know for about 200 quid ,i think it was. Including a new water pump whilst it was apart.

I have the 1.4 tdi arosa, but sar far as i know its the same service interval, etc.
