hi all, been a member for a few weeks now thought id say hi! from sunny middlesbrough and have owned a yellow 1.4s for about a month now.Its pretty nice standard spec, front fogs, sport alloys, rear popouts.changed the wheels for some (very 90's)16 inch 5 spoke compamotives(mint cond with nearly new tyres 60 quid couldnt say no!!!)not ideal but beefs it up a little!! had gearbox recon and pedalbox done by previous owners, ive just done all belts, discs and pads and a full service. future plans are hopefully a full vinyl wrap in cammo, coilovers and wheels with a shinny dish!! will get some pic's up shortly.hope your all well

tbh diy is easy enough.

the key to a decent wrap is preperation... ive gone a bit mad with mine and its made up of about 10,000 individual triangle of various greys, silvers, blacks etc as i wanted a texture to mine rather than just printed camo... its also got a twist in that its made up from various shapes, colours, and naked sillouettes of women :D lol

Its definatly a love hate car, but i think once the carbon vinyl roof and bonnet are done and the other planned mods it will be a head turner.

If you want to wrap your own car i will be creating how to videos very soon...

but my main advice is take whatever trim and windows off that you can, including plastic liners etc... and clean it thouroughly... then go over the whole car with a solvent cleaner like meths... i use preptone.

rather than do the whole car in one swoop i would suggest a diy person to do one panel at a time... its much easier to handle that way.

I can supply full kits if needed.

sounds amazing, abit complicated but amazing.would like to see some pics!! ive had a quote of a mate who does vans and promo vehicles of around £300 fitted @ mates rates,it seems you have a lot of experience in this, does 300 sound a good price or would diy be alot cheaper? im thinking just pay the money and let someone else have all the hassle!

thanks for the info!!

at £300 it sounds like he is just covering the cost of material... so i'd say thats a very good price! :)

he is a good mate so i may take him up on his offer!thanks for your help!
