beanie1 Posted March 11, 2010 Report Share Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) hey there well i thought since i have had the car now for a few month and done a few things to it now i best start a thread about it.well on december the first i nought a 1ltr arosa from a small business in newcastle with the intention of keeping it standard but after looking around for a while i realized that that wasnt going to work for me........so the modding began.....but on a budget ofcourse as im still at college and funds arnt great lolso this is the standard car i bought 3month ago now.... i no it says 1195 in the window but i didnt pay that for it lol the guy had put the wrong board in the window so i paid £400 for with 78,000 mile on the clock and a full seat service history.in febuary when i decided i was going to mod it i had a image in mind of how i wanted it(rat look) an this is what i am sticking to so first off i had to get rid of the enormous tracter steering wheel so i picked up a bargain brand new thorn racing 300mm wheel with a momo boss for £30 and got it fitted up.......much betternext was sound system as it was dreadfull so i installed my old sendia headunit..then i installed a pair of JBL 1200w subs and a JBL 1000amp i had in my garage...next was the door speakers after a mate offered me a full Vibe SLK Compenent Set up for £60 brand new...also did the dash at the timethe kit included:-2 x 345w components for the doors -2 x 300w components for the dash-2 x 140w tweeters for the doors-2 x 100w tweeters for the dash-4 x active crossovers for the lotwill get pic of this laternow sounds much better lolnext inline was the paint work as the car came with its usual rust around the rear arches and a few spots on the driver door sill..so sticking with my image i went and sourced the paint and got the boot lid sprayed up...yes the car is going to be painted totally in primer grey....with a few added decals.....unfortunatly the boot is all i have been able to get done so far as since i started it on the 25th of feb its done nothing but rain and when it hasnt rained ive either been stuck in college or work....but dont worry it will all be finished of in grey soon.....whilst i havent been able to get the paint done my misses has been cracking on with the retrim......it isnt perfect but its a rat car on a budget so i dont care lol.....parcel shelf......rear quater cards.......updates will be posted as an wen i have them.....comments all welcome.....aaron Edited March 12, 2010 by beanie1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
beanie1 Posted March 12, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) right time for an update......last nite my driver side mirror got knocked of so the guy responsible gave me £60 to fix it so i went lookin today and a major bargain at a local scrapyard.......both drivers and passanger side stuby mirrors in good condition for £9.....so got them fitted up for now.....need to get them sprayed up later....also today i have found a brand new set of 60/60 springs for £40 so got them bought should be here early next week...will post pics wen they arrive and are on the car....budget so far: startin budget 1500car - 450steerin wheel - 30vibe speaker kit - 601 x tins primer - 1retrim material - 1.50money for mirror + 60stubby mirrors - 960mm springs - 40buget remaining = 968.50 so budget is well on track....aaron Edited March 12, 2010 by beanie1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

beanie1 Posted March 19, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 19, 2010 looks good mate. get some coilovers on it! thanx bud.....lol yea i want coilovers for it but at the moment im not to sure if it would be advisable wer i live as its down country lanes lol but maybe in time.......anyway time for an update........today i recieved my new 60mm springs.....so i got them fitted up.....after fitting them...sorry no pics of before i fitted them as i forgot......looks much better and handles and feels great lol still need to settle abit tho as there still brand new.....also whilst i was fitting them my wheels turned up.......so heres anotha better pic of them lolcant wait to get tyres and get them fitted probs gonna be a week or two tho.....will get pic of the black centres later...any way time to up date the budget....original budget 1500remaining budget from early in thread 968.50wheels - 85.002 x tins of primer for roof and side - 2.00budget remaining = 881.50so budget is well on track for now lolcomments welcome as alwaysaaron Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
