Is this safe?

Recommended Posts

Hiya, tried doing a search but couldn't find any information... basically I'm after the rear end being a bit lower. I've got coilovers and they're wound down all the way at the moment.

I've seen a few people take the base plates out and just zip tie the spring to the rear beam to keep them in place to give an extra drop. I just wanted to know if this was safe? Or if it would fail an MOT etc.

Thanks, Ad

My adjusters have been out for a while and ive never had a problem. once the weight of the car is on them they wont go anywhere. i'm not even using zip-ties as its hard to get the springs central that way.

Your call really bud!

Yeah good idea. Nothing bad will happen immediatly anyway, not like theyll come flying off the car.

Update the thread when youve had some advice from the MOT station, would be interesting to hear their take!

Paul.

if the car can be jacked up and the springs dislocate its an mot fail.
