AAAAARRGGHHHH Boot Earth... Where??!

Hi there,

Where on EARTH do I find an earth in the boot for my amp earth cable?

I've checked under the carpet, behind plastic trim, and cannot find a suitable bolt or screw to earth on.

Where do people usually earth their amps in a Lupo.

It's a 1.4S if that makes a difference!

lift up your boot carpet for the spare wheel, There are a few holes in the metal surounding the wheel, Most people just put a bolt through and earth it there,

Or earth on your seat belt buckles fixing,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure how confident I am about taking off the bolt for the seatbelts, in case I don't tighten them back up enough and end up with them failing in a crash. Could be being over paranoid I guess.

And I can't find a bolt to fit through the holes in the boot, I'll see if I can get one tomorrow.

It's frustrating that there isn't a bolt somewhere more convenient, every other car I've had has had at least one to just hook the earth to.

At least I have a couple of options I suppose.

Do what most people have done...

Lift up the rear bench and drill a small hole in the sheet metal under the seat cussion. Use a large bolt-headed self tapping screw to tighten down your earth cable.

Yeah I think that's the best idea.

I'll get it sorted tomorrow.
