Jowey
If you're reading this thread you probably know that after and incident with a curbi now only have 3 wide steels. boo. rubbish. So to get my wide steels back i need to get another wheel made upto the same spec as the old one. Or do I ?that diddy 14" space saver that came in the boot could come in handy.Maybe I'll get the space saver Banded up to match the offset and width of the drivers sidesteel.I think its et42and the steels were originally et38 5.5J. had 2.5"'s added so now are et 10in theory if i spaced the wheel out to match the offset could i then get it banded it up to the same width ?What tire sizes will i need to run to get the rolling radius the same ?could be a novel way of solving my wide steel problem. Is it a plausible idea or just silly ?any help appreciated Edited September 15, 2009 by Jowey

MattTDI
at least a banded space saver would mean you have a legal spare haha
Jowey
@MattTDI That is a very good point !although i have tire weld which saves space money and fuel.@death head I love the mk1 Arosa's.. well TBH i like all the 6X models Just have to get the right blend of the parts from each IMO.Mk2 arosa rear end, Lupo interior, mk1 front end. Also i'll give your mate a call tomorrow

jamiea7x
for the morettes to work i reckon you woul dneed to make the indicator in the same style, the indiators just dont look right Edited September 27, 2009 by jamiea7x
Jowey
Just something I'd like to have in the shed tbh.yes I do agreed mate the indicators look lost.I'd probably French the whole lot up (yellow headlights)to tie it all in and then run a cold air feed through one of the headlight holes. If I do keep it long enough to have an engine conversion it's certainly give it a more purposful'track look' face .. maybe without the front grille etc. with a big intercooler poking through .. jap style. Jowey
So whats new ?
Jowey
The stance is currently all over the shop due to miss matched tires, bizarre widths etc.TBH I really hate 13" wheels on my car .. they are far too small and look crap can't wait to get rid of themand start running the audi wheels which will be happening over the course of winter in time for next season.Today i added my mirror blank and stubby drivers mirror. However the drivers mirror is LHD one so the i can literally see nothing in the mirror because the angle of the glass is different (due to it being designed to befurther away eg on the passenger side of a LHD car.)
