Just the ones with a cable clutch, and just the ones before the modified box was produced. The sport is affected worst as the clutch is cable and heavier, the GTI & TDI have hydraulic clutches.

It affects Polos too.

I dont think it was 2001, mine is late 2002 and I recently had to change mine, dont worry too much about it, I replaced mine myself, parts come to about 40quid, it took a bit of time but overall wasnt too hard and I hadnt done anything like that before, just followed instructions from the how to section of the forum.

Im looking for a lupo at the mo and just wanted to know if it changed in the later models.

just look out for one that have had them changed, bought mine and its 1999, checked pedal box was changed by looking at the service history, jobs a gooden!
