lexi86
had the TDi 2 years and no probs other than the usual mot and service costs for a 6.5 year old car...Runs like clockwork and really nippy!
AlexTRea
Only problem i have came across so far is the temp gauge has a mind of its own. it just goes up and down, we have leanred to just ignore it mine has 55k on it and runs like new And tigz i havnt seen a could of smoke yet it just sounds like a tractor thats all
KidDub
is there anything to look out for when buying them
cardaft
I did 34K in my Arosa TDi in 2 and a half years, sold it with 60K on, the engine was superb, very nippy and economical. They feel a lot better than the 1.4S petrol in my opinion. Cant say i have come across many TDI only problems, they are actually the most reliable, as they have strong gearboxes and dont have the failing pedal boxes, unlike the others (except GTi). Tigz™
Yeah, I think Ive only read about one gearbox failure.Nice fluid clutch pedal is a nice change over the heavy cable pedal on the rest of the range.
KidDub
cool makes it easier for buying knowing what to look out for seen a few around the £2600 - £2900 mark all with fairly low mileage
