Delvard
Right then style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Rachel, (my missus) doesn't want an amp (I've tried) but is keen on the idea of better speakers.I like the look of these....Rockford 6.5" Full Range coaxial speakers T162C 6.5" full range coaxial with injection moulded polypropylene cone, Cold rolled vented steel basket, Polyurethane surround,.75" aluminum dome tweeter with composite surround, l 2dB crossover, mounting depth 2.5", `60-22k` response, 88dB, 75 watts RMS/ l50 watts Peak. Grilles and hardware included. Where will I be able to find an adaptor so I can fit them with the minimum of fuss? Is the mouting depth OK? Whast do you all think of these speakers? We're planning to fit them just to the front doors. Should we bother with the back? Thanks fellas! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
paulbin
well i put 165mm speakers straight into the front of my doors, they fitted great but the only problem with it is that the windows dont go all the way down so im gonna have to measure how far they need to come out so they wont catch, u can make a wooden ring that will space them or if u are really lazy u can go and get some spacers from halfrauds they are about £15 i ordered some from the place were i got my speakers from for £10 quid. i also believe the golf ones will fit or the astra ones but with a bit of 'adjustment'
Tigz™
But the biggest problem there is that they are `co-axle` speakers. You will end up with a worse sound up front than you would if you left them the same. The tweeters are built in on top of the mid range drivers.Id keep lookin mate.ALOT better for the price. How much have you got to spend?
