kapur
I've recently had this occur twice...I'm driving along as usual in say fifth gear, and the car has come slightly out of gear, where that scraping noise starts happening... Then have to put the car back in gear again as you normally would while driving.Has happened twice now.. both whilst the car was in 5th gear.Any ideas what it could be? I'm thinking either the clutch or gearbox. Just need to know before something goes drastically wrong.

My_Names_Buck
I had this problem in the past, exactly the same as you've described, did it for about a couple of months then my gearbox went Sam.
heartagram
I know this can be a common problem for older Polos. They used the same casing, I'm sure it was something to do with oil starvation to 5th gear. But I could be talking complete ****.
