new shocks for 60mm drop???

Just brought 60mm lowering springs for my 1.4 lupo. . .

will i need to get new shocks?!?!?

not nescessarily but ,the low springs will kill your standard dampers quicker and the handling will suffer as theyre not working as theyre meant to,ok if its for the looks i guess but if you want it to handle better get new lowered, uprated shocks that work with the- 60mm springs

I seem to remember someone on here, maybe ramirez running 60mm springs on standard shocks for about 2 years with no problems.

But i've just been told that I may bend my shocks if I put them on, is this true??

when you lower the car without shortened shocks the damper will be compressed at the new ride height. When you then go over bumps there is less travel in the damper and will be more likely to hit the bumpstops and will wear out the damper faster.
