yeh its on the wing aswell but only just which is annoying but still, itll be classed as another panel which is annoying. il have to see what the bloke says, very reasonable though, sprayed my bonnet and bumper on my old car for £150 and did and awesome job.

to me that definatly looks like its been resprayed for 2 reasons. 1 ive never heard of that happening to a standard finis and 2 there is too much orange peel to have come from the factory like that.

the bumped will be need to be flatted bacj and re-painted as if you just re laquered it then you will still be able to see where the laquer had peeled up before.

popped into the body shop today.

he said he'd rather do the whole lot from scratch not just re-laquer it and also do both wings, even though its just the one wing peeling. will cost me £250 for all that and an extra £50 if i wanted the bonnet done at the same time (lots of swirls on it and stone chips). also said that those areas have either been badly re-sprayed before with the wrong laquer thats why its that bad or, he didnt rule out the possibility of someone attacking it with a power hose which hes seen alot of.

said he'll have it in for 3 days - at which point i had a panic thinking how am i going to get around in the mean time (only small garage so doesnt have courtesy cars) BUT he said he'll sort me out with his pajero evo for the time its in. oh im going to have fun lol. not going to have the money until the end of august but at least i know now :)
