LupoEnvy
Gonna go out on a limb - petrol in the car????!!!Agree that alternator could be the culprit. Is it firing properly? Check all HT leads, spark plugs etc?If you can get it started and keep it going, it might need taking out for a good run of 20 miles or so, to really shake off the cobwebs from the electrics / plugs etc. If you come back and it doesn't start again, almost definitely alternator, cos 20 miles should be plenty to charge the battery. Silver!
I remember reading many moons ago that it takes approx 15-20mins of normal driving (whatever that is) to recharge the battery with the power which was used for a one start.Technologies have moved on since then, but I always assume the above.Get it started and take it for a 50mile road trip!Have you checked the battery electrolyte levels? or is it a sealed unit?If the battery is more than 4 years old it maybe worth replacing if the car is in constant use, but as said up there, get the alternator checked, clean up and grease all the terminals and check your earth isn't corroded first. (quickfit, national, halfords etc. usually do it for free, but will try to sell you a battery)Ray
