paulbin
i work in a paint shop so i suppose i have a full range of colours to choose from, first i think im gonna spray the from and back bumpers the same colour, do u think its best to spray the whole thing(including the mesh at the bottom), or just the bumper 'face'? M1 Lupo
I'd personally leave the grille unpainted, just do the bottom part of the bumper.
paulbin
thats wot i was thinking style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
Snoopy
Been looking at those 'metal flake' paint jobs - sort of sparkly effect. Would love Raven Blue/Imperial Blue with a silver flake, but not sure if it would look too Max Power...Bet it'd cost a fortune too.
paulbin
and i bet its hard to get a smooth blotch free finish
Snoopy
Maybe, although I guess you just lacquer over it. Dunno though!
paulbin
if u lacquer over it and its blotchy it just makes it stand out ever more
Snoopy
Oh well. I think it may look a little OTT anyway... :?
paulbin
yea anyway if i was respraying one i would go for the GTI blue that the lupo has thats really nice
Snoopy
That's Raven Blue. I'd probably go for a colour not already available though - Imperial Blue was used by Seat for a while, and has almost a flip effect, looking like a very dark blue in some light, but with very strong light blue highlights in sunlight.
