lupoG Posted January 20, 2008 Report Share Posted January 20, 2008 Hey GuysMy Exhaust Emissions Light has just come on after refueling at a pertrol stationi have read the manual it tells me to get the car checked by Vw asap.Any suggestions what might have caused this or what it could be?Is this a serious light?Cheers! Paul 8v Posted January 23, 2008 Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 I have just had the same thing on my 1.4, i need to use it tomorrow! is it life threatening? Engine appears to be running fine. I just want to know if i can drive it untill I can see a mechanic or if I need to stop driving it immediately.Many thanks from worried lupo owner! Just get it to a dealer to find out what the fault code is when you can and then post it up here.Someone will have a cure for it, dont waste your money! Mines on now for the 4th timeMine came on when I fitted an aftermarket HU, plugging it straight in to the car's harness. Just got a wiring harness from Halfords which sorted it out.
