Hey peeps.. Steering is slightly to the left when my wheels are straight and sometimes when braking hard steering rocks. Car is not lowered all standard. Is this just a case of tracking ..? Any ideas..?

Have Any GTI owners had any type of issues with thier 6 or 5 speed gearbox's...?

See i was thinking of buying a mini 2002 Mini Cooper 1.6..I done some research on www.mini2.com It turn out that mini's have all sorts of commen problems.. big ones too such as 5 speed gear box's going..steering racks..water pump on most earlier models. Its mainly on the earlier models which are most effected..BMW Mini are also aware of these issues and also offer customers goodwill towards repair and costs. I actually had a word with my local BMW Mini to confirm this before i bought the actuall car and they did confirm these are real issues on the earlier models.. abviously this doesnt effect every mini cooper...im sure most are fine..

Ok so its not to say you cant drive the Lupo GTI fast.. without damaging the gearbox..surely thats what its made for ..rite? What would be the things to watch out for that cud cause damage to the gearbox..?

Rite im finaly thinking of getting a BMC filter fitted..Is thier anything i should be aware off..? Looks complicated to fit..i think im going to need some help. What is the complete list of things required for fittment with the BMC and what is the oil catch tank thing for..what does it do? I need a complete break down..Please! Cheers!

Just checked my indicater bulbs thier orange..why? How do i change them?

I do have an open air feed iv always thought this was for cool air into the engine..like some kind of induction..?

Iv noticed a few pictures on here on the headlights were the indicaters are thier seems to be a round bluey green circule..What is this..? Are all GTI's ment to have this as mine does not. Cheers

Hey Peeps! I dont no if this is commen but my GTI somtimes feels un-responsive, sluggish, and heavy to drive. Sometimes it feels perfect very responsive, light and powerfull. Any ideas why this could be..? Cheers!.

Yeh that sounds like a possibility Hope its not anything to worry about.

Yeh it still does..even after the car has been warmed up for awhile. I dont no if its just condensation.

My Lupo GTI seems to be ejecting alot of water from the exhaust when I put my foot down. Any ideas why this could be, is this normal? Cheers!.
