Tallika_Fan
Mine does this though for the drivers side. I think it's the regulator. Somone else might be a little more informative.Pete
Tigz™
Take out the drivers side switch and connet it to the passenger side first just to make sure its not a faulty switch

xXbullXx
common fault its normally the linkages in the motor that go!!! and another way to check if its the switch or not is to put ur key in drivers door and turn the key to open and hold for a few seconds if the both windows go down its the switch if not its the motor!!!also if you put the interior light on in ur car and pull the switch to closed you should see it dim this is showin the motor is pulling amps but jammed so normally the motor!!!also slamming the door on the passanger side sometimes tends to loosen the linkages in the motor resulting in the motor workin againbut if its the reg from a dealer your lookin at about 37.55+ vat and a motor is 107.41+vatthis has just happened for me but luckily i work for volkswagen and managed to get it done free of charge under the extended warrenty taken out on the car!! CapnAHAB
Right, so there's no discernible difference between the regulator failure and motor failure?
xXbullXx
normally failure with the linkages in the motor
