James Saunders
Hi all.Over last 3 weeks the battery on my Lupo GTi has gone flat twice. The car has prob done about 100 miles in that time. Its all started since I had a new head unit fitted with a feed running from the car battery. The unit turns itself off with the ignition so cant see thats causing it. Today again it took a good few seconds to fire into life, turning over slower than normal. Car is 2yrs old and done 26k miles. Surely it should be ok ? The car gets used about `2-3times` a week and does trips of about 20miles between stops.Think I will get it tested this afternoon .. Anyone brought a new battery for their car and what did it cost ?CheersJamesRed Lupo GTi
Tigz™
It sounds to me James that its the head unit that is draining the battory mate, id just double check that its connected correctly before paying out for a new battory. James Saunders
Problem sorted. Feed from stereo that powers electrical ariel (if there was one) was constantly on so hence why car battery was dying when sitting in the garage ...cheers peeps
