John, i think you've taken this wrong, i think Al was pointing out that not many Club Lupo people tend to turn up at the meet.

It can only be a good thing for CLUB LUPO to be associated with the Birch Meet

Keep us on there pal

Tom

The reason being is because you have added Club Polos name to it without asking (as you have with ours by the way)

The problem is, if anything happens at your meet, the named clubs could be seen as having something to do with it.

And, I'm sure you'll agree, neither Club Lupo or Club Polo do.

after the last time i went when i was on my own and pretty much nobody made any effort to allow me into the conversation - I dont see it as beeing a good meet. Theirs a "Clique" vibe about it - I tried socialising with the few that did turn up, but they all purposely talked about things that i could not join in with.

Made to feel like crap, and a distinct lack of cars - I dont think its good promotion for people to see our site on the banner, and go to the meat, and it put them off US as a site because of an unsuccesful meet...

The only people at these meets who have ever made an attempt to talk to me/us are - The chinese guy with the golf rallye, All the club lupo lads who've been and The lad who had the horrific accident in germany in his polo 1.8t...

I'm not trying to get anyones backs up by saying this - Just merely pointing out that i didnt like the way i was made to feel at that last meet - thus can't reccomend the meet to anyone.

Mate believe me i'm not aiming this at you, The times when club lupo people have been their its been cool!

I still remember me and angelo having a look over your car smile.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The wee polar-lupo ! heh.

I'm more on about the other people (non-lupo)

Alright dash, Nfbr

Bit of a highjack but me & GTIT are going to a seat meet on Sunday at 2pm at the retail park next to the Trafford centre if you fancy it. PM me if you are interested.

Regards the Birch meet, It is a bit clicky there, I only go down to see Nfbr as he is a lazy Barstuard at wont turn up to the mid week meets.

It could be really good to be honest, it an easy location to get to and there is plenty of space.

It could be that me an Nfbr are gobshite's or that we lack personal hygeine. But to be honest John it can feel a little elitest.

I am working the next one and pretty much everyone else is at edition 38. If I can get enought people together for the November one I will come down. But it tends to feel like we are on our own when we come down.

Anyhow, hope the september one go's well for you.

Kind Regards,

Angelo

im sorry you feel like that, but tbh i do try and talk to everyone that comes but alot of people do just sit in their cars and not get out so its kinda hard to talk to them. and i remember matt talking to you nfbr about your car and commenting on your alloys. i am trying my hardest to make this a succes but it gets kinda hard when people dont turn up. ( i know ed38 is this weekend so not expecting many sad.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> ) any way i hope to see you all at the october one, will post it up half way through september.

I think i saw a couple of you guys at the weekend coming home. We were in a totally stock silver lupo s.

We had a few meets at pilsworth (about 8 or 9 years ago). 20 or 30 cars turned up. Could have been massive now, but everyone seemed to just bunch into little groups and ignore eachother. It died after a few months. There definately needs to be some kind of ice breaker at these meets, otherwise they die on their ar$e.
